What is occupational health and safety for computer hardware servicing?

There are a few things I can think of:

Small spaces in the computer can lead to abrasions/lacerations on hands and fingers. There may also be hot surfaces and pinch points (rollers) if you are working on printers.

Electrical hazards could be present. If you are servicing accessories ensure that all capacitors are discharged. Old style monitors are hazardous even when unplugged! Be sure not to overload circuits with too many items on a power bar.

There are chemical hazards present. Cleaning with alcohol based cleaners for example; working with toners. Ozone from laser printers can set off asthma is some.

Slips/Trips & falls in your work area are a possibility due to cords, power bars etc.

If you are cleaning out used equipment it could be dusty and otherwise contaminated. This would be a hazard to the eyes and respiratory system. Protective eye wear and adequate ventilation or respiratory protection would be appropriate.
